mother, mother - are you listening?

I've only seen my mom once since I moved here a year go (aside from moving day) and that was for about 10 minutes when I was in the hospital for gallbladder surgery in May. This has bothered me a lot and I've tried to find a way to tell her this.

[10:18] goldmourn: Mom, you don't have to give me any reasons. I just wanted you to think about it. Life is fleeting and one day one of us won't be around. it would be nice to know who you are. and I'd like to think that you'd want the chance to know me too.
