poem: She Buried Herself

She Buried Herself

She buried herself
And so begins the chase
To track her, find her, follow
She's been running hard for years
Her dirty hands pointing fingers
At herself and all her ways

She buried herself
Now comes the hard part
The excavation must begin
And soon, before nothing remains
Dig up the Dead! Bring out your Dead!
Make peace, let go, Move on

She buried herself
Her confidence crushed
Beneath piles of excrement
The mirrors' view is not
What she wants to see
Her reflection asks her why -

"Why has she buried herself?"
