alice lost in labyrinth

The night is empty.

No one is missing out on anything. The night is empty. Conversation on the patio at the local bar carries over blocks while every house is silent. I wanted to hear sex - (a midnight moan) - anything other than the sound of my sandals on damp pavement. Me and my self-contained scream out for a walk with one continuous thought, "I don't belong here. This is not my home."

I am on the internet now. This is what it feels like to be connected. This is how it feels to be alone.
