I'm back, I'm back, I'm back!

I owe you guys a lot more for being away so long but in between sorting through thousands of photos, I've taken crash naps, day and night. The trip was a great experience but the actual traveling (planes, trains & automobiles) not so much. Still, who am I to complain? I mean, I actually went across the ocean!

Como, Brunate, Lake Como.
Autumn in Italyview from hotel room

Como, Brunate, Lake Como, a set on Flickr.

I know, I know - I've got a lot of catching up to do!

This is the first place we went to on our travels through Italy and it holds a special place in my heart because of that.

We enjoyed exploring the old city streets that were nearby our hotel and we took the Funicolare up to Brunate where we walked up steep winding hills to reach a lighthouse (that was closed) but had a great view of Como below. I also took a lot of photos from inside a boat through a window as we took an hour long ride on Lake Como.

Everyone keeps telling me George Clooney has a place there. I can understand why.

November is the off season but it was just the perfect time to experience Autumn leaves everywhere and a lack of crowds.

I'm not sure why but the photos I took with my iPhone tend to be grouped at the end of the photo sets. With the time difference and the seasonal fall back of the clocks, well, that probably has messed things up too.

Right now I'm working on uploading to Flickr photos from the second place we visited - Venice!

(I am so tired but happy to be home)
