years of passing vast stretches of farms

Living in a rural area from the age of 14 into my 20's when I moved to a less rural place called St. Thomas (where I was born), I spent a lot of time in cars watching fields go by - endless fields and barns - and so this recent venture traveling from Toronto to St. Thomas had me revisiting many of the same feelings I had - figuring the distance between old wooden hydro poles and marking how long it took to get anywhere.
