He got pretty personal in the laundry room and asked me this question, "What are you?" and instead of answering right away I shot back with, "Well, it's obvious that you're an actor." He said, "No, that is what I do. I act. But I am a driver." Which made me think of him driving Nascar, limos or taxis at first until he clarified that he drives cars, fast ones. (I thought it was Jay Leno who did that?) I was about to tell John that I write. That I write (& sometimes take pictures but mostly write in paper journals & online & all the time in my head because I don't allow myself to commit to paper) but Lion woke me out of bed so I didn't get a chance to respond.
Checked imdb and there is nothing in his bio about driving cars as a hobby - not that they know everything about a person - but I do believe dream John lied to me and is an actor. I mean, if you check his wiki page, he even dropped out of school to become a performer so obviously he is an actor.
Oh, I didn't know that "his household was predominantly Irish in culture. His family was Catholic."
Interesting. I slept beside Cliff who is Irish and was raised Catholic. Not that the two are related.
Cliff isn't into Scientology, just to clarify so there are no further parallels.
Anyway, I think this all started yesterday, after I picked up my pay from the dishwasher job and got myself a magnet for the fridge that says, "WHAT WOULD YOU ATTEMPT TO DO IF YOU KNEW YOU COULD NOT FAIL?" Aside from the obvious, it got me thinking about what I want to do AND what I want to be, or what I already am but simply need to do so that I can be who I am.
Last night on the patio where I ate a late supper with Cliff, I had an eureka moment where I finally narrowed down the focus of an idea that I've had for a long time.
Look out '30s, things are going to be different.
FULL-TIME DISHWASHER NEEDED
What they really meant to say was:
full-time dishwasher / mopping / toilet slave
(preferably one who doesn't speak English)
with no knowledge of ministry of labour laws
desperate enough to apply within.
